LW uses Board and District Meetings to keep us informed about the operation of our community.

There is of course more information than could ever be presented in this format:

Therefore, we also use the printed monthly Leisure World News to keep residents informed. In addition bulletin Boards at the rec centers are used.

Electronic information systems have several advantages over the above tools.

So four electronic forms of information have joined the above channels:

1) The Community web site (CWS). Provides a read only source of official news to all long term LW residents. It is updated weekly, and provides much reference material for residents.

To have access to it's contents you must sign-up at:

2) The LWCA Post is an Email delivery service for LW subscribers.
Any subscriber can post messages which will be delivered as Email to all 2000 other subscribers. There are posting rules which residents follow to keep this from being a party line. It delivers roughly 1000 messages to each resident subscriber every month. You will find items for sale, residents pleas for assistance, meeting announcements, etc.

3) The LW Insider Forum is a reference library on the Web containing information of lasting value from LW Owners to LW Residents.
Posting to this service requires a user-id and password, which is assigned to each manor. The contents are available to all guest users which visit the Forum pages. A small portion of the Forums content (less than 5%) is considered LW Confidential, and therefore only available to logged in manor owners.

4) Many LW Clubs have developed Web Sites, explaining the purpose of their activities. The LW Front Gate to "Our World on the Web", is visable to everyone on the Internet.  The Computer Club makes this available at:
This portal (to over 35 LW Web sites) provides easy access to all our communication tools.
